Nuttings Dance Hall, Waltham, Massachusetts

In 1914 C.P. Nutting opened Nuttings Dance Hall at the canoe boathouse, where ProspectStreet crosses the Charles River. The hall burned down in 1961; the pilings can still be seen in the river.

2 views of the pilings, now all that is left. The first one is from the Gold Star Mothers bridge on Prospect Street.

Here's a postcard (with cars going the wrong direction) of the place

A Playbill for music at the venue.
